Father's Day
Father's Day is a day honoring fathers and celebrating fatherhood, paternal bonds, and the influence of fathers in society. It is celebrated on the third Sunday of June in 55 of the world's countries and on other days elsewhere. It complements Mother's Day, the celebration honoring mothers. It is a widely known celebration.
Father’s Day History
Retrived from http://wilstar.com/
Sonora Dodd, of Washington, first had the idea of a "father's day." She thought of the idea for Father's Day while listening to a Mother's Day sermon in 1909.
Sonora wanted a special day to honor her father, William Smart. Smart, who was a Civil War veteran, was widowed when his wife died while giving birth to their sixth child. Mr. Smart was left to raise the newborn and his other five children by himself on a rural farm in eastern Washington state.
Mang Inasal now serves Pozorrubio!

Pozorrubians need not go farther beyond the borders of Pozorrubio to feast on chicken cooked the uniquely 'Inasal' way. Beginning June 16, 2010, Mang Inasal has a kitchen and a dine-in in town!
Pozorrubio observes 112th Independence Day
It was a long 3-day weekend and it began Saturday, June 12, 2010 with a parade through the main streets and a program at the open stage. The 112th Philippine Independence Day celebration has for this year's theme: Kalayaan, Tagumpay ng Bayan.
Bridging the overseas barangays!

Bantugan, Nantangalan, Maambal, Castaño, Haway. Not anymore “the overseas barangays”, but “the barangays just over the bridge”. Over the Malasin-Bantugan Bridge.
At 6:30 Saturday morning of June 5, 2010, twenty-five days before Mayor Emma Chan turns over the reign of the local government to the new administration, she fulfills a promise – a bridge to link the overseas barangays to the Poblacion.
The following is a rather lengthy feature shortly told through pictures:
