Aurora Catindig Mendoza is an epitome of a woman whose beauty, success and compassion continue to touch people and transform lives.

A loving wife and mother, Aurora is a shrewd businesswoman and a caring friend. She traces her roots to Malolos, Bulacan. She was born to Mr. Julian Cotaco Catindig, an accountant, and Mrs. Donna Malonhao Catindig, a homemaker. She grew up with her brothers Tony and Jose and sisters Rubenia, Lourdes, and Agnes, all degree holders and successful in their own fields.

The Philippine Councilors’ League awards the Sangguniang Bayan of the Municipality of Pozorrubio, its Presiding Officer, Vice Mayor Reynaldo Reyes, SB Secretary Alicia Fronda and consequently the Chief Local Executive, Mayor Emma Zosima Chan as 3rd Most Outstanding in the Province of Pangasinan during the 19^th PCL Week Celebration and Awarding Ceremonies held at Boracay Regency Beach Resort and Convention Center last September 3, 2009.

One of the prospective candidates for Ms Pozorrubio Town Fiesta gave   her nod to joining the annual search for hometown queen as early as the month of August. Through the internet yet!

Ily, as in I Love you, is fair, slim, and pretty.  She is the daughter of Peter and Gina Chua of Rosario, Pozorrubio.

Ily is also the grand prize winner in the first-ever search for SM Rosales Supermodel. She won the Grand Prize over other girls almost as fair, as slim and as pretty.

Pre-school pupils enrolled in the various daycare centers in Pozorrubio are the beneficiaries of a one-month feeding program being implemented by the Municipal Social Welfare Office, the

Municipal Nutrition Action Office, and the Municipal Agricultural Office of the Local Government Unit under Mayor Emma Chan, in partnership with the office of Senator Chiz Escudero and the ABONO partylist chaired by Engineer Rosendo So.

The 340 Barangay Tanods of Pozorrubio and their respective 34 Kapitanes were the major participants of the continuing program on the professionalism of barangay tanods being held July 22 to 23 at the 3rd Floor of the Executive Building and at the Don Jose P. Magno Sports and Civic Center respectively. The program was conducted by the Philippine National Police (PNP) as lead agency in coordination with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), the Liga ng mga Barangay and the Local Government Unit (LGU) to enhance the capabilities of the barangay tanods in maintaining and ensuring public safety in their local communities.

Mayor Emma Chan and LIGA President Wilfredo Perreras delivered the inspirational and welcome messages respectively. The video presentation of Pozorrubio Hymn is frozen on the screen behind.

We are cordially inviting you to join First Pozorrubio Essay/Expository Writing Contest. We particularly call on our Pozorrubian writers, leaders, technocrats, public administrators, educators, economists, intellectuals, pragmatists, government employees, politicians, and students to participate.

 

Our St. Philomena’s Academy Batch 64 Alumni together with Quesada eTechnologies are jointly sponsoring this project. This writing contest is the first in a series of writing contest that we are sponsoring. For this year, we have decided on a topic that is Pozorrubian-centric.

 

We feel the patriotism of each and every one of you as evinced in the donations, missions, comments, and monthly remittances you send wherever you are in the country and abroad. The same patriotic feeling motivates residents and global Pozorrubians to join community building. Yes, we see your love of your hometown, and the desire to lift your fellow Pozorrubians.

 

This time we would like to know your inner thoughts on how you would like to improve the ordinary Pozorrubian's quality of life from a holistic context, through your entries. We would like to see your ideas and recommendations crystallized online and in the printed media.
